शाह एकीकरण
Shah Unification
एक राजा, एक नेपाल — गोरखादेखि तिस्तासम्म
Prithvi Narayan Shah of Gorkha conquered the valley in 1768 and set out to weld dozens of hill states into one Nepal. His successors pushed the border to the Teesta in the east and Kangra in the west — until the Anglo-Nepal War redrew the map with the Treaty of Sugauli.

Prithvi Narayan Shah: The Unifier
A hill king with a trade route, an army of mountaineers, and a strategy of siege rather than storm. In twelve years of war, Prithvi Narayan Shah turned dozens of quarrelling principalities into one Nepal.

The Early Shah Crisis: 1775 – 1846
Expansion to the greatest extent, a Chinese invasion, palace murders, and a boy-king regency that ended in a massacre called Bhandarkhal — the seventy years before the Ranas took over.

The Anglo-Nepal War and the Treaty of Sugauli
The war that redrew Nepal's map: Balbhadra Kunwar's four-day defense at Nalapani, Bhakti Thapa's death at Deothal — and a treaty that cut the kingdom by a third and invented the Gurkha legend.
